Mohamed Jameel
I began my career as a primary school teacher, later transitioning to become a secondary school educator. Before delving into higher education, I took up senior management roles and led schools in the Maldives. Five years ago, I established my website, aliathri.com, where I write in Dhivehi for the Maldivian audience.
On my website, you’ll discover over 30 Dhivehi articles covering a range of topics like the Qur’an and Science, Astronomy, Culture and Tradition, and Agriculture. I’m enthusiastic about contributing to Dhivehi literature, and over time, it has evolved into a platform for sharing knowledge and insights. One accomplishment I’m particularly proud of is the collection of six free e-books for children, available for download from the website. I aim to promote education and cultivate a love for reading among the younger audience.
I also hope that the English section of the website, known as ‘Noor,’ will help me share my knowledge and ideas with a global audience. It’s an exciting opportunity to connect with a broader audience and contribute to the global conversation on education, literature, and culture.
